I got my 8-day pre-surgery food kit. It’s not going to be any fun to be on protein shakes before the surgery. After, of course, I’ll have no appetite, so it won’t be so bad. I’m just concerned that I’ll be a walking dizzy headache the whole week prior to surgery.

Wow today was a long and exhausting day. I got to PAT at 8:30am and was immediately asked to pee in a cup. Then I had my blood drawn and answered a ton of questions. I had to go down to Radiology and put on a gown to get a chest x-ray then come back [...]

Tomorrow is pre-admission testing and the nutrition class. I had to drive out to Lapeer today to my primary doc’s office to get a copy of my EKG and bloodwork that I had done when I was trying to get the insurance approval. Tomorrow is going to be a long day.

Got my doc’s note. I guess I’ll have to take 4-5 weeks off of work and I’ll have a 5 lb lifting restriction for 6 weeks. Ought to be a nice rest.

Telling my boss went better than expected. I just have to get a doctor’s note… getting ahold of the woman at the doc’s office that does that is a bit of a challenge.

Finally. January 29. Just 4 weeks away. This is going to be an exciting month. I’m having Lasik eye surgery on the 23rd too. Can’t wait!
